A) Project Officer
OVERVIEW:
Working under the supervision of the Organisation, Project Officer is responsible for the coordination and contribution to a range of activities in support of projects. Providing effective and efficient support for the development and implementation of project plans, in close coordination with the Head of Project Management, interact with project funding to develop understanding of key deliverables of projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To work closely with the Operations Manager, Head of Project Management and Fund Raising Teams in all administrative activities and projects.
- Public Relations – Fund-Raising
- To promote good relations with corporate and government organizations, and use these relations to promote fundraising opportunities for the Society.
- To actively spearhead and seek a new database of donors and funders, and meet face-to-face with highly important donors.
- To assists in sending out donation appeal materials to all existing and new donors in a timely fashion for the Society’s community projects, and follow up within the pre-determined time frame.
- To work in partnership with the fund raising team to achieve the team financial target.
- To provide administrative support in CSR partnership developments
- To compile and maintain an updated database of donor organizations.
- To provide operational support and assist in the execution of approved fund raising projects including My Journal Book Program.
- Operations and Project Implementation
To work directly with the Head of Project Management/Project Executive for the overall coordination, implementation and completion of all NGO projects and programs ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, commitments and goals.
- To assists in executing training workshop materials for volunteers assigned to each project.
- Define project/program tasks and resources requirements
- Assemble and coordinate project/program staff
- Plan and schedule project/program timelines
- Provide direction and support to project team
- Lead the liaison with third parties such as Partners, Suppliers, Events Company, Volunteer Groups and Community Leaders.
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project/program to all stakeholders.
- Co-ordinating Media Interview, Patient Support Program and compile the media publications/articles.
- Requirement / Skills
- Minimum a Diploma/Degree (or equivalent) in any field, preferably in Events Management / Public Relations.
- Good organizational and project management skills
- Experience in community work preferred
- Good working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Mandarin and Chinese dialects an advantage.
- Good interpersonal and public relation skills
- A team player with the ability to work independently
- Must be willing to work beyond normal working hours in the preparatory and execution phases of planned projects
- Possess own transport
B) Internship
- Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and execution of project under supervision of the organization.
- Assist in administrative tasks and presentation.
- Ad hoc job as required.
- Requirement / Skills
- Undergraduate students in any field, preferably in Medical/ Events Management / Public Relations /Psychology.
- Good organizational and project management skills
- Good working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of Mandarin and Chinese dialects an advantage.
- Must be willing to work beyond normal working hours in the preparatory and execution phases of planned projects
- Preferably possess own transport
